I have been fortunate in my career so far to have worked with wonderful people on a diverse range of projects. I have created technical tools and maps to aid in decision making around land use and cultural preservation, coordinated communications and media for a high profile event (2010 Olympic Winter Games), managed and shared information in various settings including stakeholder meetings and public open houses and participated in negotiations related to the development of regional land use plans.
I value open-mindedness and innovation and thrive on collaborating with a great team. I have developed a unique skill set which includes an advanced knowledge of spatial analytical processes, an appreciation and understanding of the issues and opportunities for Canada’s Indigenous people, participatory experience in the regional planning process (BC and Alberta) and familiarity with the policy and procedures associated with BC and Alberta’s Aboriginal consultation system.
I am constantly striving to find solutions to problems and am working toward finding creative ways for industry, government, academia and Indigenous communities to connect, share and communicate effectively with one another across cultural barriers.
